Wednesday, January 28, 2004 Spent most of the day in two places, bed and the toilet. Massive stomach flu. Better now than in 5 weeks. * note: this is the farthest out from a contest that I have hit over 1000 pounds in training, including training where I have done over 1100 in a meet. According to 8 years of training research of my programs, I am on for 1200 at the Arnold. I have to hit an 1105 in two weeks and must hit a 1015 double before that 1105 single ( in the same workout ) to be on schedule. That is an incredible workout. Two weeks to go to find out if I can do it.

Every so often, a man is handed a bag of shit. What he does with it makes him more of a man or just a plain garbageman. On my 345 set below, something in my quad/hip popped and sent me in pain the rest of the night. How nice the timing is! Same thing happened two years ago when I was training for my first 1100 at the Seniors in York. 1200 was in sight, but now a long memory. As of now, I am out of the Arnold. I will keep training and see if I can even get a squat workout in before the contest. If it heals fast enough to get at least one workout in with gear, I"ll probably go. The only way the big squat is coming now is with a miracle..keep on believin...
