This is just coming up out of the hole with 1103.4. Thanks to Andrey Butenko for the picture. I was scared of this weight for a long time. I finally conquered it. Now it's on to 1200.

1047 on second attempt.  Surprisingly easy.  Felt much better than my opener. (Butenko photo-www.worldpowerlifting.com)

This is my opening attempt at 1003.  I actually took my last warmup about 30 minutes before this attempt and sat too long.  It never felt right and was actually my ugliest lift of my three attempts.   (Butenko photo-www.worldpowerlifting.com)

This was my 3rd attempt.  Too bad I  played it so conservative on the bench in order to preserve the squat record.  This 606 was an absolute joke and if I had another attempt I'm positive 622-633 would have went for a ride. (Butenko photo-www.worldpowerlifting.com)

Playing it really cautious with a shirtless 451 2nd attempt.  My first attempt was 315!!!!!  (Butenko photo-www.worldpowerlifting.com)

Oh the fun of passing out!!!! (Butenko photo-www.worldpowerlifting.com)

Gordon Santee doing an equipment check on me as I slip into another world.  I'm not sure what I was thinking at this point, only that I couldn't wait to sit down .  (Butenko photo-www.worldpowerlifting.com)

Igor and I at the awards ceremony.  A very, very strong man for being so light.  Any APF or WPC lifter that wants to go to a first class meet, you have to come to Bruce Greig's meet.  They are the best in the world.  Glad to have met you Igor.

A different pic of my opening attempt of 1003.

2nd attempt-1047.  Felt better than the opener.

The end of a hard lift.  I wonder what I could have done that day if I did not have a messed up hip and a sinus infection that kept me in bed for two days prior to the meet? Thanks to Gordon Santee who convinced me to try this weight. I was so sore and sick before this meet, I told myself I wouldn't even try to get the record.

This is my psych before I go.  No head butting for me.  Ask Tommy Fannon how he enjoyed his head butt!!

One big pic for an easy 315 to stay in the meet and keep the record.

Locking out 606.  Should have got greedy and went for me.

445 to make the squat record official. People were wondering what the hell I was doing.  I think I'm still wondering myself.

744 for the big total.  If I had missed my last deadlift, I would have finished with  a 2454 total.

793 to seal the official 2500 + total (2503).  It's a nice feeling to be the 4th man to ever do it. I think 2600 is possible and then it's time to call it quits.
