TRAINING FOR WPO FINALS-ATLANTA, GA NOV 9TH

 

As some of you  may know or not know, I was involved in a car accident just over a month ago. Since that time I have spent countless hours with doctors and listening to their advice. After having my heart examined, it has been determined that I have an abnormally large heart-which most lifter's have to some degree but apparently mine is rather large. The consequences of my behavior now may severely effect my life later and as a result I have been left to make decisions in the near future.  I am still training now, albeit with chest pain and mild discomfort, but how much longer is something I must ask myself.  I have also since discovered, that I have an umbillical hernia that I have been keeping secret for nearly a year now but will require surgery next spring if I want to lead a normal life free from pain.  What I'm painfully trying to say is that the end for me in this sport is near....how soon, only time will tell....
